#LambForStAndrewsDay – Oaty Scotch Lamb Burgers with minty cucumber relish

    Burger:

    Put on a clean apron and wash your hands thoroughly. Put the lamb mince, oats, curry powder and a little salt in a bowl and mix everything together well using your hands.

    Shape the lamb mixture into a 10cm burger shape.

    Preheat the grill to medium/high. Put the burger on the grill rack and cook, turning occasionally, for 9-10 minutes until browned and cooked through.

    Carefully lift the burger from the rack using a palette knife and place on kitchen paper to drain. Cover with foil to keep warm, resting the meat.

    While the grill is still hot, lightly toast the bun for a few seconds on the cut side. Keep warm.

    Relish:

    Wash the cucumber. Using the coarse side of a grater, grate the cucumber into a bowl.

    Mix in the mint, honey and yogurt along with a little salt.
  • 10
    To serve, line the bun with salad leaves. Sit the burger on top and spoon over the cucumber relish. Top with the bun lid and serve whilst still warm.
