The Sun Inn is all about great tasting food, exceptional beer and fine wine. Take a seat next to the bar and enjoy a relaxing drink, a laid-back afternoon tea or a leisurely pub lunch in front of a roaring fire. Or book at seat in our restaurant and enjoy an indulgent evening meal – whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a celebration with friends and family. In the summer, our covered courtyard, which is a natural suntrap and looks out onto our leafy garden, is the perfect place for delicious BBQ's and cooling spritzers. All of our facilities can be reserved for exclusive parties, business functions and special occasions.

The award-winning food at the Sun Inn is best described as Modern British, prepared with expertise and imagination using the best available Scottish produce. The emphasis is on pub classics cooked to bring out the true flavours of the exceptional game, seafood and other raw ingredients we favour. Recent stand-out dishes include seared king scallops on hornigs black pudding, Borders beef cooked in red wine with baby onions and, for desert, a Tiramisu cheesecake with roasted coffee bean crème anglaise. A perennial favourite is our traditional Sunday lunch. This comprises a generous portion of roast leg of lamb with homemade Yorkshire pudding, dripping roast potatoes and real gravy. Come and eat your fill, then relax with the Sunday papers by the fire for the rest of the afternoon: Heaven!
